The town of Ardmore (OK) has denied a worker's compensation request from a motor officer who broke his wrist and leg when he crashed his motorcycle while escorting a charity run.

The town of Ardmore (OK) has denied a worker's compensation request from a motor officer who broke his wrist and leg when he crashed his motorcycle while escorting a charity run.

According to KXII-TV, the city sent Corporal DJ Long a letter after he got out of the hospital indicating that he would no longer receive worker's compensation for his injuries.

Ardmore Fraternal Order of Police President Matt Miller said, "It makes the rest of us wonder 'If something happens to us, are we going to be covered? Is the city going to have our back? Are we doing all of this in vain?'"
