A Michigan man who pointed a long gun at an officer with the Flint (MI) Police Department was taken into custody without injury late last week, according to police.

According to WJRT-TV, the subject—identified as 47-year-old Michael Gardner—reportedly pointed a gun at an officer who was responding to a person causing trouble.

Gardner dropped the weapon on the officer's commands, but then got into a struggle with the officer when the officer attempted to place the man under arrest.

Eventually, the subject was subdued and taken into custody.

Neither the subject nor the officer was injured during the incident.
