An officer with the Hazlehurst (GA) Police Department was called to a local gas station to assist in the delivery of a baby boy late last week.

According to WCSC, Officer Macy Deen was eating at a nearby restaurant when she heard a radio call of a woman entering labor at the gas station and immediately responded.

She helped to deliver the baby, despite the fact that it was a service she had never done before.

Mother and son were subsequently transported to a nearby hospital where they were deemed to be in good condition.
