Texas Department to Host 5K Run to Honor Fallen Officers

The Laredo (TX) Police Department will host a 5K run and walk as a means of honoring fallen officers and helping the community become better connected with the police who serve them.

The Laredo (TX) Police Department will host a 5K run and walk as a means of honoring fallen officers and helping the community become better connected with the police who serve them.

The department said on Facebook, "The Laredo Police Department brings to you the local inaugural Police Week 5k Run & Walk. Join us as we run in remembrance of the many law enforcement officers who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. This event is open to all of the community."

According to KGNS-TV, the event is scheduled for Saturday morning.
