California Officers Pitch In to Replace Landscaper's Stolen Tools

Santa Ana Police responded to the report of the theft, and soon thereafter came up with a plan to help Adrian Salgado get back on his feet.

A landscaper in California says that the police who responded when his pickup truck and landscaping tools were stolen last week went well above and beyond the call of duty.

According to People.com, Adrian Salgado was preparing for work when he was carjacked by two assailants.

The thieves made off with hand tools, a leaf blower, a lawn mower, a mobile phone, and about $1,000 in cash.

Santa Ana Police responded to the report of the theft, and soon thereafter came up with a plan to help Salgado get back on his feet.

Officers from the department as well as the local POA donated funds, and seven officers went to the local Home Depot to buy new gear for the man. The store donated an additional $100 and a shopper who learned what was happening donated another $40.
