In recently released video, officers with the Tulsa (OK) Police Department can be seen rescuing two children from a vehicle that had been carjacked.

The department said on Facebook that the January 11 incident began when a woman reported to police that her car was stolen with her two children—ages four and five—inside while she was in a store.

Several witnesses to the vehicle theft attempted to follow the subject as they called 911, but lost sight of the car.

Officers later located the vehicle at a gas station and initiated the dramatic rescue.

The children were not harmed and were returned to their mother.

The suspect—identified as Jarrod Gilliam—faces charges of felony kidnapping and larceny motor vehicle theft.
