Two off-duty officers were leaving a lounge in South Fulton (GA) when they were approached by two men attacked one of the officers in an attempted robbery.

Two off-duty officers were leaving a lounge in South Fulton (GA) when they were approached by two men attacked one of the officers in an attempted robbery, according to WXIA-TV.

The second officer then exchanged gunfire with the suspects, being then struck in the chest and hand.

The officer reportedly struck both assailants.

The officer who was struck is reported to be in stable condition and had surgery for his injuries.
