Tampa Chief Trains New Trigger Finger

After losing the tip of her right index finger in a June boating accident, Tampa Police Chief Jane Castor swapped her semi-auto pistol for a revolver and trained her middle finger to operate the trigger.

After losing the tip of her right index finger in a June boating accident, Tampa Police Chief Jane Castor swapped her semi-auto pistol for a revolver and trained her middle finger to operate the trigger.

Chief Castor practiced about 100 times a day with the middle finger on the trigger and took the agency's firearm qualifying test, scoring a 38 out of 40.

Chief Castor injured the finger on June while trying to start her boat, reports the Tampa Times.
