Prosecutors filed first-degree murder charges against a 19-year-old who fatally shot two Sureño gang members in the head at a Washington swimming hole.
Lameiro Efren Flores is being held in the Yakima County jail on $2 million bail pending arraignment Aug. 21 in the slayings of 18-year-old Jobany Martinez and 17-year-old Jose Avilez, reports the Yakima Herald-Republic.
Flores told police he had been assaulted by Martinez (known as "Demon") and Avilez ("Sicko"), and brought his .45-caliber pistol to the river because he had a "gut feeling" they may attack him again.
Flores opened fire after Martinez and Avilez told him, "Catch you later."
