A secret Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department task force used a burrito stuffed with 24 grams of heroin during jail sting to uncover corruption among its deputies, reports the Los Angeles Times.

A sheriff's investigator equipped a woman with a recording device and video pen to deliver the drugs to Mexican Mafia associate Carlos Gallardo via Deputy Henry Marin. The woman handed the burrito to Marin in a jail hallway. After he was questioned, Marin said he had not yet had a chance to search the burrito.

Deputies had recorded a call between Gallardo and a fellow inmate using coded language to discuss the transfer of drugs, which Gallardo called "his son" or "Junior."
