An off-duty Winnebago County (Ill.) Sheriff's deputy halted a robbery in progress while he was eating at a pizza parlor.

Four men entered Marie's Pizza at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday. One pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the owner, who was talking with Deputy Frank Pobjecky, 29. After a struggle began between the owner and gunman, the deputy grabbed the owner's gun and shot the suspect, who has been identified as Michael Sago, 16.

The deputy fired at the three other suspects, striking them as they attempted to flee the restaurant. They have been identified as Brandon Sago, 22; Desmond Bellmon, 23; and Lamar Coates, 23. They are all expected to survive.
