The commemorative 12-gauge shotgun starts with the Model 870 action, which features twin-action bars for reliable feeding, extraction, and ejection. The gun handles both 2.75- and 3-inch loads and has an 18.5-inch, improved cylinder carbon steel, hammer-forged barrel that is fast-handling and delivers consistent patterns. The receiver is milled from a solid billet of steel and is housed in a rugged walnut stock and fore-end with sling swivel studs installed. Receivers are drilled and tapped for mounting optics.
