At first glance, Springfield Armory's XD(m)-9 5.25 pistol may be viewed as a pistol for competitive shooters. The company did indeed seek design input from champion shooter Rob Leatham. At the rear is a low-mount fully adjustable rear sight.

Each XD(m)-9 5.25 arrives in a padded carrying case with foam cut-outs for accessories that include three magazines, a holster, dual magazine pouch, and a mag loader.

The pistol features dual grasping grooves, an open top slide, and an ambi mag release.

The pistol arrives with a minimal reset trigger, match grade barrel, loaded chamber indicator, and cocked striker indicator.
