Medal of Valor Nomination Deadline July 30

The Justice Department is still accepting nominations through July 30 for the Public Safety Officer Medal of Valor, the highest national award for valor by a public safety officer, but you’ll have to act fast.

The medal is awarded annually by the President to public safety officers cited by the Attorney General who have exhibited exceptional courage in the attempt to save or protect human life.

Nominations are now being accepted for acts of valor accomplished between June 1, 2003 and May 31, 2004. The deadline for receipt of nominations is July 30.
