Jeanette Strowder, 58, was charged with first-degree murder in the shooting of Jesse Martin, 54, her boyfriend of about 15 years.
Authorities say that last Sunday night Strowder found porn CDs in the home that the couple shared on South Shields Avenue.
“The defendant confronted the victim, got a gun, and shot him multiple times, including two to the head,” a spokesman for the Cook County state attorney’s office told the Chicago Tribune.
Prosecutors also told the Tribune that Strowder confessed to the crime. Strowder was ordered held in lieu of $600,000.
