BlackHawk 's new Gladius Maximis combines the proven features of the Gladius with new, improved capabilities that maximize its function in critical close-quarters situations.

The Gladius Maximis runs for 90 minutes at its full-power output of 120 lumens and over 400 hours at its lowest setting of 1.5 Lumens. It is powered by two 3-volt CR123A lithium batteries contained in its highly water resistant aluminum anti-roll body. A patent-pending multifunction tail cap provides intuitive, user-friendly, one-finger switching between the light’s multiple operational modes. The one-inch body diameter is also compatible with all standard weapons mounts. The bezel diameter is 1.25 inches and the overall length from the bezel to the button is 6.125 inches. The Gladius Maximis weighs about 6 ounces with its batteries.

Like the original Gladius, the Maximis offers one-handed operability, switching between four distinct settings: Constant On, Strobe, Momentary Activation, and a Lockout feature. This system-off mode allows the light to be locked and stored in a “go-bag” or in a holder without the risk of an accidental light actuation. The Constant On has had its functionality increased. Constant On now included adjustable levels of output with three modes for controlling the manner in which the light can operate. Mode I is auto dim from full power to lowest power level (factory default). Mode II is auto brighten from lowest power level to full power. Mode III is the Memory Mode, which allows the user to custom-tune the brightness to any level within the available 100:1 dimming ratio so the light automatically comes on at this pre-set level. This adjustability gives the Gladius Maximis a wide range of versatility never before available in this category of illumination tools.

Featuring a stealthy matte-black anodized finish, the Gladius Maximis has a suggested retail price of $249.99.
