The Colorado Springs (Colo.) Police Department will begin using New World Systems' Aegis suite of public safety software on the Microsoft platform to replace a legacy system. The Colorado Springs PD was looking for a solution that offered time-saving workflow, easy-to-use field reporting and software that could be configured to fit many of their department's processes, according to the company.
"Our demands for an advanced system are high and our expectations even higher," according to Chief Richard Myers. "Our members deserve effective technology that works and helps them accomplish our mission. We've selected New World, in part, due to their successful track record and availability to help us move forward."
New World is providing the Police Department with Aegis Law Enforcement Records Management, Mobile Field-based Reporting, Aegis Link and Decision Support software developed in-house using proven Microsoft technology, industry-standard Windows Server and SQL Server.
New World's solution improves reporting and access to information from records. Easy-to-use field-based reporting will save time for officers in the field with make more information available with less key strokes to help officers quickly and easily complete and submit reports from their vehicles.
"New World's solution is certainly going to put better and more timely information at the fingertips of our officers," according to Commander Susan Autry. "It's also going to reduce data entry and streamline workflow for our Records Department."
New World's Web-based Aegis Link will also enable the Colorado Springs PD to securely share information with surrounding law enforcement agencies.
