Martel Electronics has introduced the DC3 digital in-car video system for patrol vehicles, according to the company.
The system uses a solid-state hard drive and eliminates other moving parts such as buttons and toggle switches to extend service life. The system records high-definition video in MPEG format that can be ripped to DVD without the need for trans-coding.
The system also provides touch-screen technology and a streamlined User Interface. Options include wireless video downloading that automates evidence processing.
