Raytheon has partnered with Twisted Pair Solutions, a Seattle-based provider of critical communication applications, to help first responders communicate on a variety of hand-held devices. Police, fire and emergency rescue workers will be able to communicate with each other no matter what device they are using, according to the company.
Twisted Pair's WAVE software will be integrated with Raytheon's interoperability server, allowing smartphones and tablets to securely connect to existing Land Mobile Radio (LMR) infrastructure and enabling existing infrastructure to expand and securely transmit critical voice and data through the use of 4G/LTE devices.
