Pelican Products has introduced the Vault and Protector rugged iPhone 5 cases in its Pelican ProGear line, the company announced.
The Vault (model CE1180) case offers a water-resistant membrane that incorporates engineering-grade aluminum and polymer materials for a slim and lightweight form factor. The Vault provides impact protection from a height of 72 inches. The Vault case also features a durable screen cover with anti-scratch technology, a Dragontrail glass camera port, and flush-fitting stainless steel hex-head machine screws. It's available in a variety of colors and retails for $79.95.
The Protector (model CE1150) offers "two levels of protection" that include a shock-deflecting outer shell to save the glass face and a soft, elastomeric interior lining to protect the device from impact. The outer shell has a smooth finish. It's available in several colors and retails for $39.95.
