New World Systems, a provider of public safety software, has announced a new partnership with Intrado, a provider of 9-1-1 technology solutions, to equip Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) across the country with Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1)-ready solutions. The goal of this formal partnership is to help public safety agencies keep up with changing technology requirements, and improve emergency response for their citizens.
With this new alliance, development is underway to integrate NG9-1-1 data applications with New World’s Aegis suite of public safety software. Once completed, this integration will allow PSAPs to handle text and media within New World’s Aegis computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software.
“As technology advances, NG9-1-1 and the ability to receive and respond to multimedia data during an emergency will be essential to provide the fastest and safest 9-1-1 experience,” said Brian Leary, vice president of product vision for New World Systems. “This partnership with Intrado demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing our agency partners with advanced next generation solutions that will help them protect and serve their communities better, while keeping first responders safe.”
“A partnership with an industry-leader like New World Systems will benefit public safety and advance 9-1-1,” said Steve Lowe, senior vice president of Intrado. “By working together to offer Next Generation 9-1-1 solutions, Intrado and New World Systems can provide public safety agencies with technology that protects and serves both the citizens and first responders.”
New World Systems invites attendees of the 80th Annual APCO Conference & Expo to visit booth #251 in New Orleans, August 3-6, for a demonstration of Aegis CAD, and to see how New World is preparing agencies for 21st century public safety communications.
