Although Spillman has experienced continuous financial and customer growth, the 2015 year marked the highest revenue growth in 10 years with a 27% increase over 2014. In addition, 2014 and 2015 marked back-to-back record-setting years for customer growth. The Salt Lake City-based software vendor gained 239 customer agencies during 2015, increasing its customer base by 17 percent.
“Spillman’s growth in 2015 is evidence of our commitment to innovation and our stability as a company,” EVP of sales and marketing Joe Lunt said. “Our record growth and proven stability give us the opportunity to continue to focus on superior customer service and on bringing new products to market.”
This unprecedented growth has stemmed from the continued development of Spillman’s products. the product management department continues to expand and improve system functionality, allowing customers to customize their software systems to include the technology they need, such as records management, analytics, mapping, and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software. For example, nearly half of the agencies that adopted Spillman systems in 2015 included the Flex CAD module, bringing the total number of agencies using Spillman’s CAD platform to 598.
“CAD continues to be an area of focus and growth for Spillman,” Lunt said, “and we are pleased that so many of our new customers are taking advantage of our dispatch software offerings.”
Spillman’s workforce has also increased alongside the company’s product and customer growth. The company saw a 17% growth in personnel in 2015, growing from 249 to just under 300 employees. Spillman was also recognized by Utah Business magazine as one of Utah’s Best Companies to Work For in 2015.
