The Los Angeles Police Department and Chrysler developed a concept of the "patrol car of the future" that was displayed at the 2012 International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) conference. Baltimore Buys 80 Chevrolet Caprice Patrol Cars
Each Caprice PPV will be equipped with mobile data terminals and provide officers with a foundation to begin field-based reporting. Officers will be able to create and submit police reports directly from their patrol vehicles.

The chance to get behind the wheel of the new patrol cars proved to be an opportunity I just couldn't pass up. So I'm passing along a few driving notes about the cars. I've never pursued a suspect through a blind alley or attempted a PIT Maneuver at high speeds, so take what I have to say with a grain of salt.

Oklahoma City Buys 2013 Ford Police Interceptors
The Oklahoma City Police Department recently purchased 78 newly redesigned 2013 Ford Police Interceptor sedans for its uniformed patrol operations. The department stated that out of the 78, 54 sedans are front-wheel drive and 24 are all-wheel drive models.
