The Chicago Police Department has lost its fifth officer this year, after a 15-year SWAT veteran was found dead in his personal SUV on Monday, Superintendent Jody Weis announced.

Also, a cigarette was still in Blake's mouth when he was found.
In the spring, three Chicago officers — Thomas Wortham , Thor Soderberg and Michael Bailey — were killed while off duty. The department lost Sgt. Alan Haymaker in February in an automobile accident.
