A man who had threatened his family and pointed a weapon at responding officers was shot by a Fort Worth Police Department SWAT operator after a five-hour standoff.
The incident began at 11:30 p.m. Sunday, when one of the man's children called 911 after he pulled out a gun during an argument with his wife. SWAT officers attempted to negotiate with the man and deployed tear gas at about 4:30 a.m.
The man eventually exited the home with several weapons, verbally counted down, and pointed a weapon at officers, reports NBC DFW.
