The officer tried to take the ATV driver into custody, “when the driver brought the ATV into a wheelie and struck our officer, landing atop our officer, and then continued to drive over him,” Chief Stacey Graves said.

Suspect Shot by Florida Deputy was “Asking to be Killed”
Polk County Deputy Lindsey Clem, 30, arrived on scene where she was confronted by the unidentified man coming toward her and pulling a knife from his pocket. Clem told the man to drop the knife several times, Sheriff Grady Judd said.

Video: Michigan Deputies Shoot Man Wielding 2 Knives
During the contact, the man produced multiple knives. De-escalation efforts continued for minutes, according to Sheriff Scott Wriggelsworth. The sheriff also said that before the deputies fatally shot the knife-wielding man they attempted to TASER him.
