Streamlight Introduces PolyTac LED HP Flashlight
The lithium-powered PolyTac LED HP delivers 150 lumens measured system output and 15,000 candela peak beam intensity, which is enough to provide lighting for a wide variety of law enforcement and tactical uses.

Streamlight has introduced a high-performance version of its lightweight PolyTac LED called the PolyTac LED HP. The new model offers nearly triple the peak beam intensity of its predecessor and features C4 power LED technology.
The lithium-powered PolyTac LED HP delivers 150 lumens measured system output and 15,000 candela peak beam intensity, which is enough to provide lighting for a wide variety of law enforcement and tactical uses. It features the same compact, lightweight polymer casing as previous PolyTac models.
"This high performance light, in addition to being high intensity, reaches long distances, making it especially useful for night-time outdoor searches or other investigations," said Ray Sharrah, Streamlight's president. "At the same time, it is extremely lightweight and tough, making it an excellent choice for police, military and tactical personnel to carry."
The PolyTac LED HP uses a C4 LED bulb that is impervious to shock with a 50,000 hour lifetime to provide three hours of continuous runtime to the 10% output level. The light's deep-dish parabolic reflector produces a long-range targeting beam over a distance of more than 800 feet with optimum peripheral illumination to aid in navigation. It has a polycarbonate lens with a scratch-resistant coating.
Weighing only 4.4 ounces and measuring 5.65 inches, the light features a casing made of nylon polymer for "exceptional durability and a sure grip," according to the company. It has a tailcap push-button switch for one-handed operation in either momentary or constant-on mode. It uses two 3-volt lithium batteries that have a shelf life of 10 years.
Featuring an IPX7-rated design, the PolyTac LED HP is waterproof to 1 meter for 30 minutes. The light has been tested to the ANSI/NEMA F-1 Flashlight Standard. Available in black or yellow, the PolyTac LED HP retails for $75.
