Hikers discovered the body of an FBI special agent who had been missing for more than two months in Burbank on Monday.
Stephen Ivens, a Los Angeles-based special agent who specialized in national security, disappeared on May 10 with his service weapon.
Two hikers walking in the Burbank foothills spelled an odor and found a badly decomposed body at about 8 p.m. in an area of heavy brush, reports the Los Angeles Daily News.
Ivens' service weapon was found with the body, which was behind a Catholic school about a mile and a half from the agent's home. The Burbank Police Department is leading the investigation.
Ivens' wife Thea set up the Website "Let's Bring Steve Home" to rally supporters to "help us find Steve."
