An FBI agent thought to be despondent and possibly suicidal remained missing Monday after search teams hunted for him over the weekend in the rugged Verdugo Mountains of Southern California, reports the Los Angeles Times.
Stephen Ivens, 35, a Los Angeles-based agent specializing in national security, left on foot Thursday from his Burbank home in the 1700 block of Scott Road, his family told police.
On Saturday, a 40-member search-and-rescue team from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department joined about a dozen Burbank police officers and 100 FBI agents in the search for him, officials said.
