Friends and family remembered Officer Michael Crain as a devoted father, loving husband, and tough cop at a Wednesday memorial service that drew thousands of well-wishers.
Crain, an 11-year veteran of the Riverside (Calif.) Police Department, was killed by fugitive ex-LAPD cop Chris Dorner early Thursday as he sat at a red light with another officer.
At a memorial service at Grove Community Church today, Riverside Chief Sergio Diaz said the officer's friends "miss him already," reports the Los Angeles Times.
Crain leaves behind a wife and two children.
