Teen Charged as Adult in Florida K-9′s Death

A 17-year-old had his case upgraded to adult status Thursday morning in the Sept. 30 shooting death of a Jacksonville, FL, police dog following an armed carjacking and chase, according to the State Attorney’s Office.

A 17-year-old had his case upgraded to adult status Thursday morning in the Sept. 30 shooting death of a Jacksonville, FL, police dog following an armed carjacking and chase, according to the State Attorney’s Office.

Jhamel M. Paskel was in juvenile court when the charges were refiled, reports the Florida Times-Union. He is charged with killing a police dog, possession of a firearm by a juvenile delinquent found to have committed a felony, aggravated fleeing, armed robbery and two counts of kidnapping with a firearm following the death of K-9 Fang, the State Attorney’s Office said.
