Future Hall-of-Fame Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger recently announced that he will be distributing a grant—through his charitable foundation—to the Villa Hills (KY) Police Department's K-9 unit, according to WLWT-TV News.

"With the K-9 Unit, the Villa Hills Police Department can provide the utmost level of law enforcement protection to its citizens and strive to meet its motto of 'Continuing Excellence'," said Villa Hills Police Sergeant Matthew Hall, said in a statement on BigBen7.com.

During the 2018 NFL season, Roethlisberger's foundation will distribute grants to K-9 units of police and fire departments in the cities and surrounding communities of each regular season away game for the Steelers. The Foundation will also distribute several grants to the Pittsburgh area.

Roethlisberger's Foundation has reportedly distributed more than $1.92 million to K-9 units since 2007.
