Maine Police Chief Struck by Vehicle in Whiteout Conditions

Chief Mike Bresett was transported to a nearby hospital where he underwent surgery. He is currently in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.

The police chief of the Van Buren (ME) Police Department was on the road tending to a multi-vehicle accident in whiteout blizzard conditions when he was struck by a passing vehicle, leaving him with multiple broken bones.

Chief Mike Bresett was transported to a nearby hospital where he underwent surgery.

Bresett is currently in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries, according to the agency's Facebook page.
