A Wisconsin girl with an inoperable brain tumor—and a love of dogs—was visited by K-9 units from nearly 40 different police departments over the weekend.
According to Fox News , seven-year-old Emma Mertens was recently diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma—a rare affliction.
The Wisconsin Humane Society posted to social media a special request for photos of dogs to "brighten her spirits during treatment."
Little did Emma know, police far and wide wanted to do more than just send her photos—they organized to visit to the young fighter with their K-9s in person.

One Facebook user said in comments below the pictures posted by HPD, "Kudos to the participating K-9 units! Thank you for all you do!"
