An officer with the Auburn (AL) Police Department who was critically injured in a triple-shooting Sunday night received a visit at his hospital bed on Wednesday from his K-9 partner Leon.
Family and friends arranged for Leon to pay a visit to the hospital where Officer Webb Sistrunk continues to recover from being shot during an incident that claimed the life of William Buechner, a 13-year veteran of the Auburn Police Department.
Leon was with Sistrunk during the shooting but wasn't injured, WRBL reports.
The suspected gunman—identified as 29-year-old Grady Wayne Wilkes—is charged with capital murder, three counts of attempted murder and domestic violence.
The hospital captured video of Leon's visit and posted it to its Facebook page.
