According to Fox News, officer Jasmine Diab was shot Friday after a struggle occurred inside her police vehicle.

The subject—identified as 38-year-old Jamey Aaron Griffin—has been charged with first-degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.

Diab is said to be in good spirits following two surgeries to her hand.
