Wisconsin Man Charged with Bomb Threat on Police Department

During his arrest, the man admitted to having consumed alcohol and marijuana before placing the call, reportedly adding, "Yeah, it was stupid."

A Wisconsin man was arrested Monday morning and charged with threatening to bomb the La Crosse Police Department on Sunday evening.

According to the La Crosse Tribune, the man—identified as 25-year-old Jared Cooper—reportedly called the department and said, "There is a bomb in your building. Everyone will die. Every single police officer, you’re all dead."

Police were able to trace the origin of the phone call and executed a warrant in the early hours of Monday morning.

During his arrest, Cooper admitted to having consumed alcohol and marijuana before placing the call, reportedly adding, "Yeah, it was stupid."
