Baltimore Sergeant Wounded in Drug Clinic Shooting to Undergo Surgery

Baltimore Police Sgt. Bill Shiflett was scheduled to undergo surgery Friday morning to repair damage sustained in a July shooting at a methadone clinic.

Baltimore Police Sgt. Bill Shiflett was scheduled to undergo surgery Friday morning, the Baltimore City FOP announced Thursday.

The Baltimore FOP tweeted that Shiflett, a 25-year veteran assigned to the Northern District, will undergo surgery to, "repair some issues he is having since being shot in the line of duty several months ago," reports WJZ.

Shiflett was seriously wounded after being shot in the abdomen July 15 as police rushed inside the Man Alive methadone clinic. The shooting left the suspected shooter and a clinic employee dead.
