Kansas Man Arrested for Impersonating an Officer

The man—identified as 27-year-old Daniel Corrieri—is now in jail on numerous charges including impersonation of a law enforcement officer, possession of a firearm while under the influence, and DUI.

Officers with the Wichita Police Department have arrested a man after he was caught trying to impersonate a police officer.

According to KFDI Radio, the man—identified as 27-year-old Daniel Corrieri—is now in jail on numerous charges including impersonation of a law enforcement officer, possession of a firearm while under the influence, and DUI.

The incident unfolded on Thursday night when police learned that a couple had been stopped by a man in a White Hyundai Sonata equipped with flashing lights that resembled emergency vehicle lights.

The man was reportedly wearing a ballistic vest and identified himself as a Wichita Police officer.
