An LAPD officer was shot and wounded during a gunfight inside of the Ralph's grocery store in Granada Hills Sunday night, authorities said.
According to police, a man was reported to be causing a disturbance inside the Ralph's. Shortly after officers entered the store and confronted the suspect, a shooting occurred, Fox.
The suspect then fled the store and hid in a nearby convenience store before surrendering to police about 45 minutes later.
The officer that was hit by gunfire was transported with a non-life-threatening injury and is expected to make a full recovery, police said. An LAPD tweet said he received sutures in his hand.
