Violator Buys Police Website To Complain About Speed Cameras

After receiving a $90 speeding ticket, Brian McCrary bought the Bluff City (Tenn.) Police Department's website so he could complain about red-light camera enforcement, ABC.com reports.

McCrary had headed to the site to reschedule his court hearing. When he arrived, he saw a notice that the site's domain name was about to expire. Once it expired, McCrary registered a claim to use the Internet real estate.

Since May 22, he has been using the site to advocate against camera enforcement. The police chief has said the department changed e-mail addresses.
