Spectronics Introduces Forensic Light Kit

Spectronics Corp. has introduced the OFK-450A Blue Light LED Forensic Inspection Kit with its rechargeable Optimax 450 LED flashlight for crime-scene investigation, field evidence gathering, and laboratory work.

The 450 nm blue light LED lamp reveals bodily fluids, biological stains and latent fingerprints, as well as pattern wounds, hair and fibers. Its internal dome lens ensures optimum light uniformity to assist forensic photography, according to the company.

The lamp's corrosion-resistant, black-anodized aluminum body stands up to heavy use in the field or laboratory. Powered by a rechargeable NiMH battery, it provides 90 minutes of continuous inspection between charges. Its "electronic intensity stabilizer" ensures consistent performance of beam strength that won't weaken between charges.

Also included in the kit are smart AC and DC chargers, orange contrasting spectacles, and a belt holster. The components are packed in a padded carrying case.
