All Traffic Solutions was recently honored by cloud-platform provider Axeda for its SmartApps next-generation wireless solution.

Axeda presented the Best Product Innovation award to Scott Johnson, All Traffic Solutions' vice president and co-founder, at the 2011 Connexion event. Johnson accepted the award for his part in transforming the company from a hardware manufacturer into a solution provider, according to a release from All Traffic Solutions.

Johnson delivered the keynote address at Connexion 2011, and shared how the company's connected product initiative is "enabling new business opportunities and ways of doing business, while allowing customers to provide higher levels of public safety at reduced costs," according to the release.

Johnson demonstrated All Traffic Solutions' SmartApps interface and explained the implementation of this next-generation wireless solution.

"The capabilities that result from connecting our devices have opened up new revenue sources because we can deliver far more value to our customers," Johnson said in a release. "It's changing how we design and support our products as well as how our customers integrate these products in their daily operations."

All Traffic Solutions, the traffic safety division of Intuitive Control Systems LLC, produces speed displays, message signs, and imaging products. The company also develops software solutions to manage traffic safety equipment, as well as collect and aggregation traffic data.

In June 2010, All Traffic Solutions launched a Web-enabled version of its product line that allows users to access and manage all their traffic calming hardware through a browser.
