Panasonic Computer Solutions is looking for the strangest, funniest, or scariest stories not captured on video. The “I Wish I Had An Arbitrator” contest kicked off on May 31st and will run through July 31st with a Toughbook Arbitrator digital video recording system, valued at $5,000, awarded for the best submission, as selected by the Toughbook unit of Panasonic Corp. of North America.

“Over the years, we’ve heard many ‘You’re never gonna believe this’ stories from our public sector customers and now we want to compile them all in one place,” says Greg Peratt, National Director, Digital Video Products, Panasonic Computers Solutions Company. “The ‘I Wish I Had An Arbitrator’ promotion does just that, while providing public sector agencies throughout the country the opportunity to win a Toughbook Arbitrator digital recording system that will enable them to streamline their entire video process.”

Public sector agencies are increasingly using in-car video cameras with the goal of improving incident documentation and evidence management, streamlining operations, and reducing the financial and reputation risks associated with civil lawsuits. The Toughbook Arbitrator is a next-generation solid state digital system engineered specifically for demanding environments. The digital output from the system is much easier to archive, search on, manage, and track, saving agencies time and space and helping to protect the chain of evidence.

“While the promotion itself is focused on fun, we understand this technology is mission-critical to officers in the field and that it has tremendous financial value to agencies and municipal governments when it assists in countering false claims,” adds Peratt. “We’ve designed the Arbitrator to withstand the rigors of daily use and to provide output which is easily searched, archived, and protected for use in legal proceedings.”
