Celebrating stellar service, the Warner Robins Noon Optimist Club gave its Law Enforcement of the Year award to six officers Thursday. The awards are presented to outstanding officers serving Houston (Texas) County annually at the end of May. May is Law Enforcement Month.
"We honor their service to the community and we honor their willingness to lay down their lives every day for the safety of others," says Jason Ashford, Optimist program chairman and a senior assistant district attorney. "The ceremony is about the wonderful achievements of law enforcement. I am so proud of law enforcement in this community."
The club, the oldest continuously operated service club in Warner Robins, and its annual Respect for Law program recognize professional excellence in law enforcement by members of each of the six law enforcement agencies in Houston County.
This year's award recipients are 78th Security Forces Senior Airman Michael Buck, 116th Security Forces Squadron Master Sgt. Pat Walsh, Centerville Police Department Sgt. Dallas Perry, Houston County Sheriff's Office Investigator Sgt. Ronnie Harlowe, Perry Police Department Officer Joseph Balli and Warner Robins Police Department Sgt. Craig Clifton.
