Larson Electronics' Magnalight.com has added several two-foot LED lights that are certified as explosion-proof and could be used by a law enforcement agency in its aircraft maintenance facility.
The lights carry UL 844 Class 1 and Class 2 certifications, according to Larson.
The EPL-24-2L-LED represents the newest two-foot, two-lamp LED light fixture with Class 1 Division 1, Class 2 Division 1, and paint-spray booth certification. The new lower cost, Class 1 Division 2 rated LED lights include the HAL-24-2L-LED and HALP-24-2L-LED lights to round out the LED hazardous location area lighting line.
The HAL-24-2L-LED carries a Class 1 Division 2 rating and features and aluminum extrusion housing. Finally, the HALP-24-2L-LED carries a Class 1 Division 2 rating and is built to resist corrosive environments with its non-metallic housing. These hazardous location LED lights are available in 120/277 Volts 50/60Hz for standard applications and 12-volt and 24-volt LED light models are also available for low voltage implementations. These 28-watt LED hazardous location lights produce more light output than standard T5HO and T8 bulbs. Like the established four-foot LED light models, the two-foot models offer 5.5 years of 24/7 run time before re-lamping, according to the company. With solid state technology, high vibration applications are ideal for the Magnalight explosion proof LED lights.
"By adding two-foot lights to the Magnalight line, we have lighter, smaller form factor alternatives to our four-foot hazardous location LED lights," according to Rob Bresnahan of Magnalight.com. "We offer surface and pendant-mount versions, including some unique bracket mounting options for operators looking to mount the lights in tight spots, create unique angles or use existing mounting holes."
Larson Electronics also has a large selection of portable explosion-proof lighting, ranging from Class 1 Division 1 hand lamps to portable tank lights.
