LAPD Releases Video of Suspected Ambush Shooter

Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck released surveillance video and images showing the suspect who ambushed two undercover detectives Tuesday morning outside the Wilshire Division station.

The 13-second video , which the agency posted on YouTube, shows a black man in his 30s wearing dark clothing and holding an object believed to be a gun, reports KTLA .

The two LAPD detectives, an 11-year and 20-year veteran, were ambushed as they entered the station in an unmarked police vehicle. The suspect opened fire from behind their car.
