Kustom Signals Announces Winners of Police Motorcycle Competition
Seventeen Kansas and Missouri police agencies attended the event with 32 competitors. In all, 155 people turned out for the first-time event, including Lenexa Mayor Michael Boehm and State Senator Julia Lynn.
Kustom Signals, Victory Police Motorcycles and the Lenexa (Kan.) Police announced the four winners of a motorcycle competition in late June.
Seventeen Kansas and Missouri police agencies attended the event with 32 competitors.
Troy Bennett of Kansas City, Kan., won first place. Matt Schroder of Leawood, Kan., won second place. Bill McCombs of Lenexa, Kan., took third place. and Troy Osborn of Leawood, Kan., took fourth place.
Additionally, Sgt. James Carney of the Prairie Village (Kan.) Police Department won a Raptor RP-1 radar system for his department.
"It was great for backyard relationship building with other local agencies," said Sgt. Diana Mendoza of the Lenexa PD.
In all, 155 people turned out for the first-time event, including Lenexa Mayor Michael Boehm and State Senator Julia Lynn. Visitors got to experience multiple exhibits including the latest in radar, LIDAR and video technologies, and test drive police motorcycles from Victory Police Motorcycles.
"Kustom Signals' inaugural police motorcycle competition provided the perfect forum to interact with our partners in local law enforcement and share with them all that is new for 2011. We look forward to making this an annual tradition to showcase new technologies," according to Tom Kulikowski, president and chief executive of Kustom Signals.
