T3 Motion, Inc.'s all-electric Non-Lethal Response Vehicle (NLRV) provides law enforcement a "humane and safe" response to riots and violent protests, according to the company.

The T3 NLRV will be unveiled at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) conference in Chicago on Oct. 23.

The T3 NLRV arrives with semi-automatic, non‐lethal launchers that can be stowed away in the event of a violent outbreak. The launchers are compatible with various types of non‐lethal ammunition such as pepper balls, water balls, dye markers or rubber projectiles. Each vehicle can store up to 10,000 rounds. High‐intensity LED deterrent strobe lights, specifically designed to deter a disorderly crowd, are incorporated into the vehicle. These deterrent lights provide LED operation with low energy consumption and were designed in cooperation with Whelen Engineering. The vehicle is equipped with a riot shield to physically protect the officer from crowds.

The T3 NLRV launch is on the heels of its mobile T3 Automated License Plate Recognition System (ALPR) announced in June. The T3 ALPR automatically scans license plates at a rate up to 7,500 vehicles per hour, notifying the officer of a wanted plate in seconds and providing agencies with real-time knowledge and post‐action criminal intelligence.
