The LIDARCam is an economical option for recording exactly what an officer saw through the head-up display, while simultaneously providing a high-end Canon digital camera that's easily accessible for another use. The removable 10-megapixel camera slides inside a protective opto-mechanical housing on the Laser Ally and is pre-programmed for instantaneous operational readiness.
After the desired distance window and speed threshold are set on the Laser Ally, the camera automatically captures images that include the target reticle, speed, direction, date, and time. The camera can also record HD video and features up to 20x combined optical and digital zoom, auto focus, optical image stabilization, Flash and printer compatibility and an automatic sleep mode to conserve batteries.
